While we're sad for you to go, we understand the need to transfer your domains. If there is anything we can do to encourage you to stay with us, please let us know!
If you still plan on transferring your domain, there are a few things you should know:
- Your domain must be registered for at least 60 days before it can be transferred.
- Your domain name should be active during the time of transfer, if your domain is expired, please contact support. Domains in Redemption Status are not eligible for transfer.
- The transfer authorization (EPP) code will need to be obtained from within your account and supplied to your new registrar.
To obtain your Transfer authorization code:
- Log into your account and click on the Domains tab.
- Click “Manage” on the domain you wish to transfer.
- Click “Settings” and then click on the orange “Transfer” button.
- Click the “Unlock my domain” button to view your domain’s authorization code. Note, this also unlocks your domain for it to transfer.
- Provide the transfer authorization code to your new registrar. After the code has been successfully submitted to the gaining registrar, they may send an email to the administrative contact of the domain, found in the Whois database, asking for approval of the transfer request. Please be sure to check with the gaining registrar to ensure the transfer is approved.
Upon receiving approval from the gaining registrar's side, our system will send you an email within 24 hours, asking you to approve the transfer. If you choose to reject the transfer at this point, the transfer request will be cancelled.
If you do not specifically reject the transfer, or don't respond to the instructions in the email, the transfer will automatically go through within 5-7 days.
