There are several possible reasons for this problem. If checking the following doesn't work for you, please contact our support team. We're happy to help sniff out the issue.
- Check the status of your domain name to make sure it hasn't expired.
- Check the status of your account to verify that there isn't a billing conflict for your domain.
- Are you able to successfully send by logging into webmail? If so, double check the server settings within your email client program. Make sure the username you have entered in your mail program for "SMTP" (sending) is your full email address and correct email password. Also, please ensure the outgoing mail server is domainspot.com
One of the more common issues with sending involves the port number that you use for your SMTP settings.
In most email client programs, you can find this within the "Advanced Settings" and the default port for sending email is "25." We recommend using "587" instead.
(It’s common for internet service providers to detect a large volume of spam being sent through a certain area of their network. In response to this, they'll commonly suspend services on port 25, which will cause all of their subscribers in the affected area to not be able to send. If you update your SMTP port to "587" you should be able to avoid undue downtime.)
